CardPricer.com Launches Universal Want List

ATLANTA November 14, 2006 -- Card Pricer, home of the Web’s most comprehensive baseball card pricing guide, today announced the launch of its Universal Want List. The company has signed respected sports memorabilia dealers McAvoy Sport Cards, Shoebox Cards and Tom Witek Enterprises, as well as industry auction house leaders Robert Edward Auctions and Mile High Card Company, to be among the first companies marketing inventory through the easily accessible and interactive wish list. "This is a superb venue to bridge the buyer and seller gap in a timely and efficient fashion that will make both parties happy,” says Bill McAvoy, owner of McAvoy Sportscards. “McAvoy Sportscards is in full support of this exciting new program." The Universal Want List is an innovative, free service that keeps dealers and auction houses in touch with collectors and helps collectors find items they are looking for with greater ease. The main facet of the Universal Want List is its simplicity; collectors merely request the cards they want from Card Pricer’s extensive baseball card checklist and, in turn, dealers and auction houses use Card Pricer’s custom built interface to announce which items they have available for sale. When a match is made between a card and the dealer, the collector is immediately notified. The collector can then click a link and go directly to the vendor’s website or straight to the item’s sale page. “We are excited to be participating in this endeavor and hope our participation will give this product an important auction house presence,” says Rob Lifson, founder and owner of Robert Edward Auctions. Once the Universal Want List is established among customers, Card Pricer plans to enhance and integrate the Universal Want List with notifications from online marketplace eBay.
