Baseball Card Collecting: Conditioning Help!?

    I'm a complete noob to this stuff. I have no idea whatsoever as to what all the conditioning means. Somebody help? I know that SGC, PSA, GAI, RAW, BVG, SCD, Unknown, and Other are conditions, but I have no idea what they mean. Also, where is the closest place to middle Georgia for pricing cards? Thanks!

    SGC, PSA, GAI, BVG, and SCD are all authenticators. The conditions run accross the top with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. The sale prices are reported from actual sales. If you are interested in understanding how each company determines a grade - you will be best served to visit their sites and read through their authenticating guides.
